What’s The Problem
It not currently possible to safely and comfortably bike from the Cascade neighborhood to Uptown.
Our Solution
Engage the community and SDOT to develop family friendly routes for people to bike East-West in the Cascade, South Lake Union, and Uptown neighborhoods. Seattle Neighborhood Greenways is working with Queen Anne Greenways and Lake Union Greenways. We are talking with the Lake 2 Bay planning effort.

- Get Involved: We could use your help! Let us know that you support this priority!
- Mercer St Bike Lane Extension: We are working to extend the Mercer St protected bike lanes and sidewalk (that pass underneath highway 99) to 9th Ave which will be the future key North-South in the neighborhood.
- Roy St Bike Lane Upgrade: We have applied for a Neighborhood Street Fund to upgrade the existing bike lanes on Roy St to be family friendly.
- This campaign builds off of the success of our 2015 Lake2Bay priority, including our scouting ride and report.
